Melissa Bathum

Owner, Principal

A true Seattleite, Melissa has been in the high-tech event business for over 20 years, holding both internal senior marketing positions and external contractor jobs with various groups within Microsoft. She is known for her vast knowledge on tradeshow integration, particularly with community, and has worked on many Microsoft product launches and a number of large-scale tradeshows of over 28k attendees worldwide.

Melissa has produced multiple marketing communications campaigns designed to reach communities in the millions worldwide, and is best known for quirky creative treatments, nimble execution, flexibility to make changes in flight, and the ability to keep efforts well under budget. Melissa loves to travel, spend time with her husband, son and corgi, go skiing in the winter, or biking and kayaking on sunny days, and ensures she can spend as much time on beaches as she can get.

Kori Monson

Partner, Events

Kori has been in the event industry for over 10 years. She has an astute attention to detail, is client-centric, and has worked on a wide range of events from soft product launches to large scale events. Kori’s loves working with clients on achieving their goals and doing this with a unique approach to wow their audience. She’s managed everything from a 20k square foot expo floor, to one of the largest onsite testing areas in the world, and absolutely loves seeing all the ideas come to life.

Kori’s educational background gives her a great understanding of organizations, managing teams, organizational change, and people in general. With a degree from the University of Washington in Ethnic Studies and a Master’s from the University of the Rockies in Organizational Psychology. She volunteers with children events, charity auctions, community engagement projects with an emphasis on diversity.

Victoria Blasich

Senior Project & Marketing Manager

Victoria is a Pacific Northwest native that has spent time in southern states and overseas for schooling and adventures. Victoria earned a degree from Washington State University in Social Sciences with an emphasis in Political Science, International Business and Economics. Being a creative soul, she went looking for a job that fulfilled both her analytical side and imagination. After working in various roles at local fashion & e-commerce companies, she joined Freemind in 2018.  

She has years of experience with marketing strategies and fashion focused events and photoshoots for both small and large companies. With a passion for people and supporting fellow creatives, Victoria is driven to create and execute stellar events for our clients. Outside of work, you can find her curled up with her husband and cats, reading a good book or creating a delicious meal for friends and family.

 

Michelle Hargarten

Senior Event Marketing Manager 

Michelle has been in the marketing and events world for over 15 years. She found her passion while working in Silicon Valley during the dot-com era. Michelle has a keen attention to detail and loves to bring an event to life. Her past experience has been mostly with Microsoft managing large-scale sponsorships at events such as SXSW, industry road shows, and VIP executive retreats.

Michelle is most successful in fast-paced and creative environments. She has a demonstrated ability to connect with all levels of clients and vendors to deliver high-quality work. Over the past 5 years, Michelle had the opportunity to put those skills to work by building and operating her own clothing boutique in Baja, Mexico.  In her spare time, you can find Michelle soaking up the beach life back in Seattle, collecting sea glass along Alki.

 

Jessica Moore

Office Manager

While earning her degree in biomedical photography, she dove back into hospitality as a barista and bar manager, and eventually found herself emerged in the world of event planning.

Jessica moved to Seattle in 2015 to manage events at a live performance venue – She was originally brought in the team to be the venue manager of Element 79 Seattle, the sister company to Freemind. Sadly, we had to close the doors of Element 79 in 2020.Jessica has since changed roles a bit, as we all have.  She now works on various projects with the Freemind team helping to plan and execute virtual events. 

 

Meg Panlaqui

Senior Event Marketing Manager

Meg is a passionate and tenacious event marketer. She was born and raised in California, making her way up the west coast until she ended up in Seattle in 2019. Graduated with her Bachelors degree from California State University, Sacramento, she has worked in various industries from nonprofit, entertainment and media, and tech. She has executed a gamut of events and programs from the ground up, ensuring her stakeholders and clients are getting the best experience.

Meg is proactive and can pivot in any situation that gets thrown her way. She fosters relationships and is in constant communication throughout the planning process. She loves to collaborate and strategize by finding ways to be creative, but stay on budget. Her main goal is to produce highly impactful events for diverse audiences to be inspired. In her spare time, you'll find her trying out new recipes, hanging out with her husband and their two dogs and a cat, rocking out at a concert, or traveling the world.

Shane grew up on a farm in Ireland and proudly brings that work ethic with him in everything he does. In college- he studied print and film/TV. After- he landed in New York creating PowerPoint decks for Initial Public Offerings. He discovered Seattle working at Microsoft START in 2008 and moved here shortly after. Over his 15 years focused on elevating presentation design he has had the privilege of working with a huge range of brands across many industries. Beyond presentations, he loves to tell visual stories with video, print materials, web elements, and motion graphics.

Outside of work, he likes to video-DJ at live events, complete watching every film on the NYT top 1,000 movies list, making ridiculous Halloween costumes, hosting an annual St Patrick’s Day party, and renovating the house that he shares with his wife, son and cat.

Eric knows the value of robust copy. And short sentences. Eric’s career in new technology and upscale travel reached new heights after moving from Washington, DC to Seattle at the dawn of the dot com boom. Strategic messaging, brand awareness, and critical communication skills nourish Eric’s passion for benefit-rich description and effective content for the right audience.

He wrote two bestselling travel guides for Dorling-Kindersley about the wonders of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, penned blogs about data cloud adtech products, and cobbled together C-suite biographies for premier organizations. Sam the Corgi

Office Dog

Sam is a Welsh Cardigan Corgi and is born and raised in the PacNW. He has been the Office Dog his whole life, and has followed the team from their humble beginnings in Pioneer Square at their first office, to their current space in historic Georgetown, Seattle.

He enjoys walks to the coffee shop, the soup shop and the local café, often stopping to smell the um, roses. You can always find him walking around the office, checking in on the team and barking insanely at anyone passing by the door. Squeaker toys are always nearby to pick up for that random burst of energy that sends him sprinting around the room. In his spare time, Sam likes long walks along Alki Beach and chasing the occasional bunny rabbit. You can even follow Sam on Instagram.
